When I go to a store with a few friends and an employee asks us if we are finding everything okay....

What I did every time I had to be on a treadmill in high school PE.

The Wonderful World of Colorado

If there was ever a heaven on Earth I would have to say that title would belong to the great state of Colorado. I might, of course be a tad bit biased being as Colorado is where I reside, but when you grow up in a big city like Chicago, there's something so fascinating and mysterious about a place like this. Of course I don't only see Colorado as a plethora of scenic beauty. Colorado is also where some of the nicest people you will ever meet reside. Maybe they're so happy because central Colorado gets around 300 days of sunshine a year, but whatever the reason I have experienced some of the kindest encounters while here. Even the city dwellers in Denver and Boulder seem wonderfully friendly. Boulder itself is quite the city. Being a student at CU and living in one of the greatest college towns in the world I must admit it gets a little difficult not to brag sometimes. My best life experiences so far have come from this university. The faculty at CU is amazing and will go above and beyond most person's expectations to help every student become what they want to be. Being a Music Performance student I get to experience the arts and culture of not only the university but of the whole city of Boulder as well. I also am a chemistry student who has fallen in love with all of the chem faculty including my favorite professor, Dr Hendrickson. Going back to the music aspect, when I say music performance, I am a voice major. However I don't enjoy opera or classical voice in the slightest.  When I fell in love with singing, I fell in  love with Musical Theater. With that being said, as much as I love CU it is not the optimal place for a wannabe Sandy Olsson. Most of the voice faculty are opera specialists and prefer classical voice to anything that involves belting.  They are all great teachers but sometimes I tend to feel lost in the heat of classical music, which by no means is what I enjoy. But my love of music is everlasting so despite all that I could find wrong with the situation, I love being at CU in the college of music and the college of A&S. And going off of this music tangent I have created, if you ever want to really be impressed with a Pac-12 band, keep a look out for the Golden Buffalo Marching Band this next college football season!
